Need A Breakthrough?

R.C. Sproul said “It is one thing to believe in God; it is quite another to believe God.” Go ahead and reread that – I did too. This couldn’t be more true for me. I have always believed in God but years of emotional, mental and verbal abuse really effected me.  For me it made it very hard to believe God. God says I’m loved, I’m chosen, I’m beautiful, I’m forgiven. I didn’t feel any of those things. Feeling loved was so far from my reality. I still struggle with this. Somedays I feel completely with out purpose. Those days I have to force myself (my friends do some pushing for me too) to lean in hard on Jesus so he can remind me that those are the enemy’s words and are NOT his truth.  

I had to renew my mind and value myself enough to dismiss anyone who spoke lies to me…things that didn’t line up with what God says about me.  These people are acting out of their own hurt and won’t look to Jesus for healing.  But you can choose who you will believe! 

Are you in need of a breakthrough?  Now is your time.  The time to finally fill the part of your heart that never seems to be satisfied.  God has a plan for your life even when it seems there isn’t one. But to have a real breakthrough, one that last forever you must have true faith.  True faith is obeying Gods word.  Just saying you believe in God isn’t enough… even Satan believes in God!  It’s time to stop believing the lies you are told.  “I’m not good enough”. “I’m not loved”.  “I’m not pretty enough” or whatever it may be.  Nothing bad comes from God.  Those are the words of the enemy and he only comes to destroy you.  Nothing is impossible for God… nothing!  Isn’t that GREAT news?!  

Matthew 19:26 –  Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

He wants to do new thing in your life so prepare to be amazed!  You will see he can and will do far more than you ever thought possible!  He is the God of new things!  If that doesn’t get you excited, I don’t think anything will!
